Mortars and pestles have long been used to grind herbs, salts, and incense in preparation for meals, spells, and incense-making or just as decoration.
This 4" diameter decorative mortar and pestle set is carved from soapstone, a soft metamorphic rock that naturally comes in many different colors and patterns. While this set can be used for grinding materials, this product is not intended for use in grinding items meant for consumption, as the rock is soft and can chip or crack with too much force.
