Are you looking for a more efficient way to store your herbs? Sometimes they can be quite bulky! Enter a pollen press! Most of the time while grinding herbs you are left with a fine powder, and if you've ever wondered what to do with that resulting material, here it is. A pollen press can help compress both fine pollen and un-ground herbs. Simply remove the top of the press, drop your material in, and screw the device back together and twist the top down! After a few hours of resting at full pressure you can remove the bottom and pull out a compact puck of herbs or pollen, ready to be used or stored.

How to Press your Pollen or Herbs

Using a pollen press is easy, effortless, and the results are always impressive! You can pack herbs down into a tight puck, or compress leftover pollen into a usable material. Follow these simple instructions to get the most out of your materials:

  1. Unscrew the top of the press to reveal the inner chamber. There is a disc at the bottom; leave that in as the "plate" your material will be pressed onto.
  2. Insert your herbs. Whether you want to press full leaves or grains of pollen, put in your desired amount.
  3. Screw the top back on and hand-tighten the handle as much as you can.
  4. (Optional) Let it rest, at full pressure, for about 8 hours. This is recommended, especially for pollen, to really compress the material into a tight puck, but for quick compacting for storage waiting isn't necessary. If you do decide to let it rest, check it every hour or so to tighten the handle.
  5. Remove the bottom and twist the handle to retrieve your compressed material!

Shorter, Small Version Available

This Medium Pollen Press has a tall, 1.5" chamber and can compact your material into a puck that is 1.4 cm wide, or about .5" in diameter. For a device that is shorter yet can produce wider disks, check out our Small Pollen Press. It has a 1" tall chamber and will compact your material into a wider 2 cm disc.

Alternatively, if you're REALLY into pressing, be sure to check out our My Press Rosin Press for an electronic, high-pressure and heat-adding pollen press system. It is an investment, but if you love pressing your herbs, why not do it efficiently?
